Where to find July 4th fireworks in the Inland Empire (2024)

The United States is turning 248 years old this year and the Inland Empire is ready to celebrate.

From fireworks to concerts and from parades to picnics, events are scheduled across Riverside, San Bernardino and eastern Los Angeles counties.

Some begin this weekend, but many activities will be on the holiday itself, Thursday, July 4.

Here are highlights of what’s on tap across the region.

Riverside County

CANYON LAKE

The city will mark the holiday with fireworks Thursday, July 4, on Skippers Island.

A DJ will start playing music at 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., fireworks will be launched. Recommended viewing sites are Happy Camp, Holiday Harbor, Sunset Beach, Main Causeway and the lake.

CORONA

The city’s Independence Day Celebration is set for Thursday, July 4, in Santana Park.

Festivities will begin with the annual Main Street USA Parade at 9 a.m. The route will go down Main Street, from Ontario Avenue to Olive Street.

A festival in the park will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature live music and food vendors. Fireworks are set for 9 p.m.

EASTVALE

The city’s July 4th Picnic in the Park is set for Friday, June 28, through Sunday, June 30.

The event at Eastvale Community Park will include activities such as carnival rides and live entertainment.

Fireworks will be at 9 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the park, 12750 Citrus St. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance by clicking here.

JURUPA VALLEY

The Jurupa park district’s 26th Annual Independence Celebration will be Wednesday, July 3.

The event, set for 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., will be at Vernola Family Park, 5211 Wineville Ave. It will include food, games, live music, jumpers and fireworks. The fireworks display will be at 9 p.m.

Presale tickets are $5 per guest, for those 5 and older. A family pack of five tickets is $20 in advance. On the day of the event, tickets will be $10 per person. Presale tickets will be sold until Tuesday, July 2.

The celebration is sponsored by the Jurupa Area Recreation and Park District.

LAKE ELSINORE

The Diamond stadium will host Lake Elsinore’s July 4th Independence Day Party on Thursday, July 4.

The event, set for 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., will feature live entertainment, food vendors and fireworks at 9 p.m.

The stadium is at 500 Diamond Drive.

MENIFEE

A parade and musical acts will be followed by fireworks on Saturday, June 29, at the city’s Wheatfield Park.

The annual event will kick off at 4 p.m. with a parade on La Piedra Road, which will be closed until 10 p.m.

Festivities include food vendors, a kids’ zone, a beer garden and concerts by the Chris Lozano Band and Stone Soul. Fireworks are at 9 p.m.

Parking is available at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee Valley Campus, 28237 La Piedra Road. The park is at 30627 Menifee Road.

MORENO VALLEY

The city’s Fourth of July Celebration will be Thursday, July 4, at the Moreno Valley Civic Center Amphitheater.

Gates will open at 3 p.m. for the Family Fun Fest. Fireworks are set for 9 p.m. Entry is $4 per person; children under 5 are free.

MURRIETA

The city’s 33rd Birthday Bash on Saturday, June 29, will feature an early fireworks show.

The event, set for 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., will be at California Oak Sports Park, 40600 California Oaks Road.

It will include food vendors, music, a hose down by firefighters and a kids’ zone. Fireworks will be at 9 p.m. No smoking, alcohol, barbecues or dogs are allowed.

NORCO

Norco is hosting a Fourth of July Picnic in the Park on Thursday, July 4, featuring the Mayor’s Equestrian Trail Ride and a costume contest.

The ride will be at Ingalls Event Center, while the picnic is set for Pikes Peak Park. Admission and parking are free. The event also will feature live music and a horseshoe tournament.

PERRIS

The city’s second annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration is set for Wednesday, July 3.

The event, set for 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. will be at Morgan Park, 600 E Morgan St.

It will feature arts, crafts and food vendors. A movie, “Captain America: The First Avenger,” will begin at dusk. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m.

RIVERSIDE

The Riverside Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the 2024 Concert for Heroes, A Tribute to Veterans at Riverside National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 3.

The free event will feature pre-recorded music at 6:30 p.m. and the orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m.

RIVERSIDE

The city will fire off two fireworks displays on Thursday, July 4.

One will be at Mount Rubidoux; the other will be at La Sierra Park, 5215 La Sierra Ave. Both are set for 9 p.m.

The Carlson Dog Park and Mount Rubidoux will be closed after 7 a.m. on the holiday.

SAN JACINTO

The Independence Day parade and street festival is set for Saturday, June 29, on Main Street.

The parade will kick off at 9 a.m. The festival, which will include vendors, food, a DJ and bounce houses, runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

SAN JACINTO

A fireworks show is planned for Thursday, July 4, at Valley-Wide Regional Park in San Jacinto.

Sponsored by the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District, the display will begin about 9 p.m.

The park is at 901 W. Esplanade Ave.

TEMECULA

The city’s annual Fourth of July parade is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4.

It will begin at the intersection of Old Town Front Street and 2nd Street. The parade will move through Old Town Temecula and end at Sixth Street.

It will include equestrians, floats, vehicles and bands.

The city’s holiday extravaganza will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Ronald Reagan Sports Park, 30875 Rancho Vista Road. It will feature live music, vendors and kids’ activities. Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.

San Bernardino County

BIG BEAR LAKE

The city’s annual free Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular will be Thursday, July 4, over the lake.

Fireworks will start between 8:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. and be accompanied by music on 93.3 FM and 102.5 FM.

CHINO

The city will celebrate Independence Day on Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, at Ruben S. Ayala Park.

The theme is “A Tribute to Our Armed Forces Heroes.” Pre-sale wristbands will be available from Monday, June 24, through Thursday, June 27, by clicking here.

The hours for day one are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The second day’s hours are 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. The fireworks show is set for Saturday, June 29, at 9 p.m. Guests should bring lawn chairs and blankets.

CHINO HILLS

The city’s annual Independence Day celebration and concert is set for Wednesday, July 3.

The event will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Veterans Park, 14877 Eucalyptus Ave.

Entertainment will include a patriotic stilt walker and a juggling showman. Live music will be performed by Fortunate Sons, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, from 6:45 p.m. until 9 p.m.

CRESTLINE

Jamboree Days in the San Bernardino Mountains community will take place in the coming days.

A free community picnic on Sunday, June 30, will kick off the festivities. On Saturday, July 6, events will conclude with a parade and fireworks over Lake Gregory.

The parade will take place at 10 a.m. with a route from Crest Forest Drive to Fern Drive and onto Lake Drive, before ending at Lake Gregory Drive. Shopping, a fun zone and other community activities are planned throughout the day.

The beaches and lake area will close for an hour at 5 p.m. in preparation for fireworks over the lake. The display is at 9 p.m.

FONTANA

The city will host its free Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, June 29, at Summit High School.

The event, set for 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., will include food vendors, a live performance by Queen tribute band, The Kings Of Queen and a fireworks show.

The school is at 5551 Summit Ave.

HIGHLAND

The city’s annual Fourth of July parade is set for Thursday, July 4, at 9 a.m. and a fireworks show will cap the day’s activities.

The parade will be begin at the corner of Church Avenue and Base Line Street. It will travel west on Base Line and continue south on Central Avenue. It will end at the Highland Family YMCA, 7793 Central Ave.

Later, the annual 4th of July Highland Community Fireworks Celebration is set for Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Base Line St. The parking lot will open at 5 p.m. Gates will open for the free event at 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. The event will include food vendors, music and activities.

Fireworks are set for 9 p.m.

LAKE ARROWHEAD

The annual Fireworks Spectacular over Lake Arrowhead will be Friday, July 5.

The Arrowhead Lake Association sponsors the annual event, which will start at 9 p.m.

Earlier in the day, at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., a flyover will feature vintage and other aircraft, including a helicopter from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and a Mercy Air helicopter.

Guests can watch festivities from boats on the lake.

ONTARIO

Independence Day celebrations start with a parade along Euclid Avenue at 9 a.m., followed by the traditional All-States Picnic from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Town Square, 224 N. Euclid Ave.

The Ontario Chaffey Community Showband will perform at the picnic. Families can enter their pups in the Patriotic Pooch Contest.

Later, families can enjoy a fireworks show at Westwind Park, 2455 E. Riverside Drive. The program begins at 5 p.m. and will feature a drone show and fireworks.

RANCHO CUCAMONGA

An Independence Day fireworks show will cap the evening Thursday, July 4, at the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter Sports Complex.

The parking lot will open at 5:30 p.m., with activities beginning at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m. The complex is at 8408 Rochester Ave.

REDLANDS

The city’s annual fireworks show will be at Moore Middle School on Thursday, July 4.

Gates will open at 5:15 p.m. A show including a flag ceremony and flyovers will begin at 6 p.m.

After skydivers land on the field, a concert by the Redlands 4th of July Band will begin.Live music will start at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks at 9 p.m.

RIALTO

The city’s annual Fourth of July Celebration will be Thursday, July 4, at Jerry Eaves Park.

The event, set for 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., will include fireworks, live music, games, giveaways and food vendors.

The park is at 1485 N. Ayala Drive.

SAN BERNARDINO

The San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra will host its annual concert with fireworks on Saturday, July 6.

“America, the Beautiful,” will start at 7:30 p.m. and be conducted by Anthony Parnther. It will be on the San Bernardino Valley College football field.

It will feature an attempt to break the world record for the most piccolos performing John Phillip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

UPLAND

The city’s Light up the Night fireworks spectacular will be Thursday, July 4, at Cable Airport.

Gates open at 4 p.m. The event will include an airplane display, live performances by Pop Vision Band, games and fireworks. The airport is at 1749 W. 13th St.

YUCAIPA

A water balloon toss, corn hole tournament, patriotic costume contest and fireworks will be part of the city’s Independence Day festivities on Thursday, July 4.

Entertainment will begin at 3 p.m. Fireworks will start at 9 p.m.

The event at Yucaipa High School, 33000 Yucaipa Blvd., costs $10 per ticket. Parking is $15. Those 3 and older must have a ticket.

Los Angeles County

CLAREMONT

The city’s 4th of July Fireworks Show will be at Pomona College’s Strehle Track on Thursday, July 4.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. Upstream, a reggae/calypso band, will perform from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Fireworks will be at 9 pm.

The Kiwanis Club of Claremont will host a barbecue dinner and refreshments. Tickets are $10 for those 4 and older.

LA VERNE

The city will celebrate 50 Years of Hometown Heroes with its annual parade Thursday, July 4.

The 10 a.m. event will begin at the corner of D and 10th streets.

Before the parade, a pancake breakfast sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 411 will be offered for $7 a plate from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at La Verne United Methodist Church, 3205 D St.

The celebration will end with fireworks at Bonita High School Stadium, 3102 D St. Gates open at 6 p.m. The show will begin at 7 p.m.

POMONA

Fairplex in Pomona will host the Kaboom! fireworks and monster truck show on Thursday, July 4.

Motocross and monster trucks will bring entertainment to Fairplex, 101 W. McKinley Ave., starting at 4 p.m. Fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m.
